The Open Shop Project is a partnership project between heritage venues and artists in Pennine Lancashire.

Managed by Creativity Works this is an exciting opportunity for artists to engage with new audiences by developing innovative work based around the eclectic collections housed in Pennine Lancs heritage venues.

Involved in this project are; Towneley Hall, Burnley, Rossendale Museum, Haworth Art Gallery, Hyndburn, Blackburn Museum and Art Gallery, North West Sound Archive and the ACE Centre, Pendle.

We have invited ArtYarn, who are artists Rachel Elwell and Sarah Hardacre, to undertake the Burnley project. For more info on who they are and their past work have a look at www.artyarn.org and http://artyarn.blogspot.org.
